Foothill
Freeway (Interstate 210)
Located at the base of the San Gabriel
Mountains, the Foothill Freeway links
Southern California’s Inland Empire
through Downtown Los Angeles into the
San Fernando Valley.
San Bernardino
Freeway (Interstate 10)
The San Bernardino Freeway’s western
terminus is located in East Los Angeles
and runs through the San Gabriel Valley
into Southern California’s Inland Empire.
At the west end of the San Bernardino
Freeway, the Santa Monica Freeway (Interstate
10) continues up to Pacific Coast Highway.
Interstate 10 is also one of the three
coast-to-coast Interstates linking states
from California to Florida.
Pomona
Freeway (State Route 60)
Located at the southern end of the San
Gabriel Valley, the Pomona Freeway runs
from East Los Angeles to Southern California’s
Inland Empire. Route 60 is also a major
transportation corridor for container
trucks traveling from the ports of Los
Angeles and Long Beach to shipping yards
in the San Gabriel Valley, Inland Empire
and other areas within the United States.
North
to South
Long Beach
Freeway (Interstate 710)
The Long Beach Freeway is within a few
hundred feet of the Los Angeles River,
which it runs along, from Alhambra to
Long Beach.
San Gabriel
River Freeway (Interstate 605)
The San Gabriel River Freeway runs parallel
to the San Gabriel River, from the base
of the San Gabriel Mountains in Duarte
to Seal Beach.
Orange
Freeway (State Route 57)
The Orange Freeway runs from the base
of the San Gabriel Mountains in Glendora
into Orange County.
Chino
Valley Freeway (State Route 71)
The Chino Valley Freeway runs from Pomona
to Corona in Riverside County.

Metro
Gold Line
The Metro Gold Line links Union Station
in downtown Los Angeles to Sierra Madre Villa in Pasadena via Chinatown, Highland
Park and South Pasadena. The second
phase, known as the Foothill Extension,
is expected to be completed by 2014
and will continue from Pasadena through
ten San Gabriel Valley communities and
into Montclair.
The Metro Gold Line is accessible to
many nearby colleges, museums, hotels, shopping districts, and other Metro
Rail Lines that will lead to Hollywood,
Staples Center, Queen Mary or LAX.

Metrolink 
The
Metrolink
is a regional transit service that links
riders to major employment centers by
offering two rail lines that run through
the San Gabriel Valley, the San Bernardino
Line and the Riverside Line.
The San Bernardino Line links the San
Bernardino County riders to Union Station
in downtown Los Angeles, with several
stations located in the San Gabriel
Valley: Claremont, Pomona, Covina, Baldwin
Park, El Monte and Cal State L.A.
The Riverside Line links the Riverside
County riders through the cities of
Pomona, Industry, and Montebello and
onto Union Station in downtown Los Angeles.
This Line also allows students to commute
to and from the University of California
at Riverside.

Amtrak
Amtrak
provides intercity rail passenger service
to more than 500 destinations in 46
states with six lines connecting to
nearby Los Angeles and stations located
in the San Gabriel Valley cities of
Pomona, Claremont and Pasadena. The
San Joaquin, Pacific
Surfliner,
Coast Starlight, Southwest Chief, Sunset
Limited and Texas Eagle are among the
lines that connect to the San Gabriel

Metro, Foothill Transit and

of the San Gabriel Valley cities.
Many of the lines also connect
riders to rail stations in the area.
Metro
Metro Bus service offers 55 lines
throughout the San Gabriel Valley.
Metro serves as a transportation
